GTA 6 PC Version: No Announcement Yet

PC players have one clear question about GTA 6: is it coming to PC? The honest answer, based on the material relied on for this guide, is that no PC version has been announced. This post explains what that means, what it does not mean, and what PC players should do while they wait.

The confirmed position

Confirmed: GTA 6 launches on 19 November 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only. No PC version has been announced. That is the full confirmed position, and it is important not to add to it. A PC version has not been confirmed, denied for all time, or dated — it has simply not been announced.

That distinction matters. “Not announced” is not the same as “never coming”. It is also not the same as “coming soon”. It means there is no official PC release to plan around, and any PC date quoted online is speculation.

Rumour: PC dates and system requirements

Rumour: PC release dates, system requirements, and store listings quoted online are unconfirmed. Some are based on patterns from previous games, some on guesswork, and some on fake listings. None of them is an official announcement, and none should be used to buy hardware or plan a purchase.

PC players should be especially wary of sites offering a “PC download” before any PC version is announced. The PC version page on this site reflects the same honest position: no PC version announced.

What PC players can do now

PC players have three sensible options. First, wait for an official announcement and follow Rockstar’s channels. Second, if they want to play at launch, consider a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S — the PS5 vs Xbox comparison can help with that choice. Third, keep playing other games and revisit GTA 6 when the PC picture is clear.

What PC players should not do is pay for a PC version that does not exist yet, or trust a system-requirements list that has no official source. Patience is less exciting than a rumoured date, but it is the only approach that does not risk money or disappointment.

Why console first?

Console-first launches are common for large open-world games, because they allow a focused launch on two known hardware targets. That does not guarantee a PC version, or a date for one. It does explain why the launch is console-only, without needing to invent a reason.

When — and if — a PC version is announced, it will be through official channels, with a date and requirements that can be checked. Until then, the honest answer remains: no PC version announced.
